Reservations & Booking Platform (Cloudbeds)

Online reservations for Mbweni Ruins & Gardens are processed through Cloudbeds, a third-party booking and payment platform.

By making a reservation, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All bookings are completed via Cloudbeds
  • Payment processing, confirmations, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Cloudbeds
  • Cloudbeds' own terms and conditions apply to the booking process

Mbweni Ruins & Gardens is not responsible for technical issues, booking failures, or discrepancies caused by the booking platform.


Pricing, Currency & Discrepancies

All prices displayed on the Website are indicative only and subject to change without notice.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Prices shown on www.mbweniruinsandgardens.com may differ from prices shown on the Cloudbeds booking page
  • Pricing discrepancies may occur due to currency conversion, seasonal rates, availability, promotions, or technical updates
  • The final, binding price is the price confirmed on the Cloudbeds booking confirmation

Local taxes, government levies, service charges, or additional fees may apply where required by law.

Mbweni Ruins & Gardens shall not be liable for pricing differences between the Website and Cloudbeds.


Cancellations, Modifications & Refunds

Cancellation, modification, and refund policies vary depending on the rate selected and are clearly displayed during the Cloudbeds booking process.

By completing a reservation, you expressly agree that:

  • All cancellations, refunds, and booking changes are governed by the terms presented on Cloudbeds at the time of booking
  • Mbweni Ruins & Gardens cannot override or modify Cloudbeds cancellation or refund policies
  • Refund eligibility, if any, is determined solely by the booked rate and Cloudbeds terms

No refunds will be issued outside the conditions agreed upon at booking.


Check-In, Check-Out & Identification

  • Check-in and check-out times are communicated during booking or upon arrival
  • Guests may be required to present valid government-issued identification or a passport at check-in
  • We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if identification requirements or house rules are not met

Guest Conduct & House Rules

Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and the Property.

You agree:

  • Not to engage in illegal, unsafe, or disruptive behavior
  • Not to damage property or disturb other guests
  • To comply with all posted house rules and staff instructions

We reserve the right to terminate a stay without refund in cases of serious misconduct, illegal activity, or violation of house rules.


Liability & Use of Facilities

All stays, activities, and use of facilities at Mbweni Ruins & Gardens are undertaken at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
  • We are not liable for accidents related to natural conditions, weather, wildlife, ocean activities, or terrain
  • Guests are responsible for their own safety and possessions

Third-Party Services & Activities

The Property may assist with or recommend third-party services such as tours, transport, excursions, wellness activities, or experiences.

These services are operated by independent third parties. Mbweni Ruins & Gardens:

  • Does not control or operate third-party services
  • Is not responsible for their performance, safety, or outcomes
  • Acts only as a facilitator, where applicable
